On the occasion of the 65th birthday of Dieter Reuter, an academic legalcolloquium was held under the title "Formal Ethics of Freedom or SubstantiveEthics of Responsibility" in his honor on the 15th and 16th of October 2005in Kiel. This volume includes the four main lectures as well as thediscussion reports from the colloquium.
