This remarkable book contains all the pictures drawn by Akira Kurosawa, Japan's great film-director, in his life. They include his drawings in each continuity of his films, ranging from "Kagemusha" to the latest posthumous film "The Sea Watches" unfilmed "Jump," and the drawings of temples and Buddhist images that he was so fond of. The total number of the drawings in the book is over 2,400. Kurosawa's idiom in his drawings is as powerful and impressive as in his films, convincing us of his great ability and that he aspired to be an artist as a child.
