This resource has been specifically designed for use by clinicians and other professionals within education and social care. It supports the running of group sessions for children and adolescents suffering from mental health issues who are learning to better understand and manage their behaviour and emotions. The resource offers a planning and activity pack for group sessions, uniquely combining four core elements: mindfulness; self esteem; identity; and, relaxation. The aim of the group sessions is to improve self-esteem, identity, and emotional understanding; and regulation. The resource comprises a range of activities that can be used stand alone or as part of a ten week programme, with enough topics for 20 weeks to choose from. It caters for children and young people with a range of ages and abilities. The resource is uniquely not language dependent. The activities can also be easily adapted for one-on-one sessions, focusing on one or all of the areas listed above. Features: not language dependent; offers a range of photocopiable activity sheets; includes two sets of 10 week group sessions; and, can be adapted for one-to-one sessions.
