Ambiguity, present in all aspects of the poem, is seen as central toMilton's authorial intentions. This work proposes that the many ambiguitiessurrounding Milton's dramatic poem "Samson Agonistes" are intentional. Itreflects Milton's own recognition of the uncertainty of the content.
