Industry on the Move P 336 p. 92
内容
Internationally, the scope for locational change is widening rapidly as more mobile capital and technology and improved global (tele) communications have called for increased flexibility. This book concentrates on two aspects of this: how and why this international distribution of manufacturing output and employment is changing in the aircraft, automobile, clothing and steel industries; and the adjustment process at the national level that causes, and is the consequence of, these changes at the global level, through case studies on the American steel, Italian clothing and Mexican automobile industries and the aircraft industries of Singapore and Indonesia. A separate chapter assesses the impact of structural change on trade unions. This book on industrial location and mobility should be of interest to governments, employers, trade unionists and researchers.
