It is imperative for health professionals to be able to manage clients with neurotrauma in all settings. To be able to provide effective quality care to this client group personnel need to have the relevant background knowledge, including applicable anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, microbiology and patient–centred management in primary, secondary and tertiary health settings.Neurotrauma is a comprehensive, evidence–based and accessible text that explores the care and management of patients with head injury following the patient journey, commencing with primary prevention of neurotrauma and continuing through to neurorehabilitation.
