Nihon Romanha (Japanese Romantics) was a prominent literary magazine launched in March 1935 by Kotaro Shimbo, Katsuichiro Kamei, Eijiro Nakajima, Takao Nakatani, Takashi Ogata, and Yojuro Yasuda.
These six were joined by Osamu Dazai et al of Aoi Hana (Blue Flower), and by its final, twenty-ninth, issue the magazine had developed into a full-blown literary movement encompassing over 50 writers. Since the war it has been a focus of discussion from many different angles, with strong demand for reprinting from researchers, specialist libraries and other interested parties.
