Among the antiquarian books of Japanese classics held in the Seikado Library, books related to novelistic literature are selected for this collection. Starting with ancient manuscripts of masterpieces such as Taketori Monogatari, Ise Monogatari and Genji Monogatari, it also includes manuscripts designated as important cultural properties. Many of the books include handwritings of famous philologists from the Edo period.
