The records include materials concerning Yukichi Fukuzawa (1834-1901), a founder of Keio Gijuku (慶応義塾), an educational institution that made a great contribution in laying the foundation for modern Japan, and some other unpublished materials. This collection of records may be regarded almost as a microfilm version of the Fukuzawa Museum. The records are classifies into those related with Yukichi Fukuzawa and those
related with Keio Gijuku. Fukuzawa related materials include his letters, diaries, memorandums and some other articles left behind.
Keio Gijuku related materials include Keio Gijyuku no ki (Notes on Keio Gijuku), Nyusha-cho (Notes on Joining a Firm) and many other newly found materials.
