Kenjiro Hayashide studied at Toadobunshoin, then worked for legations, consular offices and
embassy throughout China. In 1932, he was appointed secretary of Embassy of Japan in Manchuria, and served as an interpreter of the Emperor Fugi. He attended major meetings of top officials of Manchuria and Japan, and kept a detailed record of each session. This is a noteworthy resource for the study on Japanese control over Manchuria.
