Giichi Murakami was a member of the executive board of Mantetsu from 1930-1934, including the
important period of establishment of Manchukuo and reorganization problem of Mantetsu. This
document collection includes from materials on business activities of Mantetsu to demands from
Kwantung Army and commands from the Cabinet. Since the reorganization problem has developed
to highly political matter, there remains almost no public records nor internal documents. Some clue
how Mantetsu headquarters tried to handle the problem would be seen from this collection.
