Entries span the period from October 8, 1637 to February 2, 1669, in this rare and priceless example of the journal of daimyo that covers everything from clan politics to relations with the Tokugawa Shogunate, discussions within the Ikeda clan and with other related families, and other domains, plus seasonal events, and occasions such as weddings and funerals.
