Shanhai Nichinichi Shinbun launched in Shanghai, China's largest international city, in May 1914 appears to have been highly rated by Japanese residents as a source of in-depth information on Chinese politics and economics following the revolution of 1911. The paper is said to have shut down in 1938, and this material covers just a fraction of its total output, but as interest in Shanghai grows from various quarters, is sure to prove a vital resource.
