A huge collection of priceless bookkeeping and accountancy-related literature spanning several centuries from 1494 to 1900, from the former library of the Herwood CPA office in New York. A catalog of the collection, entitled “The Herwood Library of Accountancy: A catalogue of books printed between 1494 and 1900 in the Herwood Library of Accountancy” was also published in 1938. The collection starts with Pacioli's Summa, which gave the world double-entry bookkeeping, and encompasses 1,233 important writings on accountancy and bookkeeping from around the world, up to the late 19th century.
